Important Tuition Information for the 2012-2013 School Year

Invoices for the 2012-2013 school year will be mailed out in March.  All Catholic families please keep in mind that in order to receive the Catholic tuition rate on your invoice, the Business Office must have a Parish Verification form signed by the priest from your home parish.  If you have not done this, please do so before invoices go out.  If you need a blank Parish Verification form, please email ejones@stanthonyeagles.org or contact the St Anthony office at 601.607.7054.

Eagle Scramble Registration

Teams are quickly forming as the Eagle Scramble draws closer.  Parents of our students have the first opportunity to register their teams for the Eagle Scramble this week as player brochures were sent home via your child’s backpack.  On Friday, registration will be opened to other teams.  Spaces are limited so take advantage of this opportunity to ensure that your team will be able to “play like the pros” at Annandale Golf Club on Tuesday, Tuesday, March 27.  For additional player brochures or more information on tournament sponsorships and teams, please contact the Development Office at (601)607-7054.

Krewe of Kindergaten Marches On!

The Krewe of Kindergarten, with assistance PreK-4 students, celebrate the final day of Mardi Gras on Fat Tuesday with St. Anthony Catholic School’s annual Mardi Gras Parade!  Krewe members delighted in sharing the excitement  of Mardi Gras traditions with their friends. This final day of fun was enjoyed by all before transitioning into the Lenten Season on Ash Wednesday.

Dressed in Mardi Gras colors, this mysterious masked parade marshall leads off the parade!

Saluting Those Who Serve America

St. Anthony Catholic School first grade students proudly showcased their talents as they performed “One Nation Under God.”  During this performance guests not only learned about the symbols of America, but also had the opportunity to show appreciation to the men and women in our audience who have served our nation in various capacities of the United States military.  Thank you to all of our St. Anthony family who have served our great country!

St. Anthony Catholic School proudly saluted those who have served in the United States Military. Pictured are active and retired members of the United States Armed Services who were in attendance for our patriotic program. A special honor was given to Col. Louis J. Pellegrine, USAF, Retired, for his service to our nation and continued service to our community.

Volunteers Make St. Anthony Great!

Each day parents and community supporters partner with St. Anthony Catholic School to create a warm, nurturing environment in which our students to learn and play.  Caught in the act of service this week included the many volunteers for our Valentine’s Day Parties, DI Pancake Breakfast, and our Patriotic Program.  Exemplify to your children how you value their education at St. Anthony by demonstrating service to the school.  Upcoming opportunities include:

  • Barnes & Noble Book Fair – contact Jacinda Roach, (601)506-9066, jcndbon@aol.com.  Volunteers are needed for this fun event on March 1 – March 3 to assist with the special events.  This is one of the few opportunities to shop as you volunteer!

Calling All Golfers!

Saluting Service To America

On Friday, February 17, the 1st grade classes will be performing “American Symbols” beginning at 10:00 a.m.  At this patriotic performance, we invite all of those in our St. Anthony community who have served our country in war to attend.  A reception will follow the play for our special guests and their family.  If you would like to attend, please RSVP to Mrs. Hemleben at ahemleben@stanthonyeagles.org.

St. Valentine’s Day

St. Anthony will be celebrating St. Valentine’s Day with Valentine parties beginning at 2:00 p.m.  Before your child exchanges valentines with their friends, please make sure that their choice in cards are appropriate for school.  Also, please remember that gift bags and presents are not allowed.  Thank you to all of the volunteers who are helping make this day special.  On the 14th, be sure to look out for flying arrows!
