Each day students at St. Anthony Catholic School grow and express their knowledge in unique ways, allowing each child to grow in confidence and understanding of the world in which they are a part.

Under the instruction of Miss Amanda Cashman, art students recently submitted their own designs for the Pro Life Mississippi Walk for Life t-shirt contest. Pictured is Miss Cashman with contest winners. Sophia de Lange, who won first place, will have her design featured on this year’s t-shirt. Tayler Gardo won second place, and Anna Chris Nicholas won third place.

In celebration of Cinco de Mayo, 6th grade Spanish students served a Mexican Fiesta to students and faculty by speaking only Spanish. Pictured are Ben Crout, Sydni Vandevender, Mrs. Michelle McCarty, Olivia Bridges, and Mia Goodloe.

Geophysicist Robert Gaston visited St. Anthony Catholic School 6th grade students to share his knowledge of renewable and non-renewable resources and energy, as well as, the importance of environmental protection. Second grade students, Campbell Miller, Gia Picarella, Riley Miranda, and Mason Roach, prepare for their upcoming Rainforest program. Their hallways and the gymnasium are being transformed into the layers of the rainforest with their plants and animals. Students are comparing life cycles of plants and animals specific to this ecosystem, studying the interdependence of these plants and animals, and learning to distinguish how our own actions with the Earth’s environment may be harmful or hurtful.
