Saturday, May 19 – D.I. Car Wash, 2:00-5:00 p.m.
Sunday, May 20 – Cajun Fest, St. Francis of Assisi Church, 12:00-4:30 p.m.
Tuesday, May 22 – Awards Day & House Cup Ceremony, 9:00 a.m.
Wednesday, May 23 – 6th Grade Recognition Mass, St. Francis 11:00 a.m.; Last Day of School – Early Dismissal from St. Francis of Assisi Church at approximately noon – no ACE.

Summer Office Hours

We hope everyone has a rejuvenating and refreshing summer and look forward to seeing everyone again for Back to School afternoon on Sunday, August 5. Over the summer, the office will be open Monday – Thursday, 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. The office will be closed the weeks of May 28 – 31 and July 2 – 5. Remember, the payment deadline for paying tuition in full is the last business day of June (in person – Thursday, June 28; or by mail – postmarked on June 30). Of course, you may come by anytime before that date to prepay your tuition and thereby ensuring your 5% discount! Note – while the office will be closed on July 5, the P.A. will still be selling used uniforms in the library!

Decathlon Day!

Good times were had by all in the 3rd Annual Decathlon Day event at St. Anthony Catholic School. Houses enjoyed spirited competition and more as they displayed their team’s athleticism in twelve different events. With each victory Houses earned points, propelling them toward a possible win of the coveted House Cup! Who will win the House Cup this year? We will find out on Awards Day!

The "House of Volunteers" - without this House, Decathlon Day would not be possible. Throughout the day volunteers revolved around the various needs of the day, including those in this picture and others. Thank you for all who were involved in making the day special!

Praying for the safety of all of our competitors as we begin the games.

Summer Reading

Looking for something cool to do over the summer? Grab your favorite summer reading books and escape to a destination of your choice! Read on the porch, at the beach, in your air conditioned room – read, read, read. For required summer reading, please refer to the St. Anthony summer reading list on Edline. Send us a picture of your child reading over the summer, they just may end up in the summer edition of the Padua Press!

Awards Day

Awards Day will be on Tuesday beginning at 9:00 a.m. While we incorporate a lot of fun in learning and the culture of St. Anthony, one of the reasons parents choose St. Anthony is for the strong academic program. Awards day is the day which we focus on scholastic merits and recognize those who have placed top in their class. Awards such as perfect attendance and best effort will also be given on this day; however, please keep in mind that should your child receive the perfect attendance award, he/she must be in attendance through Mass at St. Francis on Thursday. The coveted House Cup will also be awarded on this special day. As always, parents are welcome to attend! On this special day, students may wear their House shirt with uniform bottoms.

Summer Used Uniform Sale

Mark your calendars to shop at the P.A. Used Uniform Sale on July 5 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the St. Anthony library. For your convenience, your donation of clean uniform items may be delivered to the front office. In addition, items not claimed from our lost and found will be donated to the sale as well. On behalf of the P.A. – thank you for your support and see you on Thursday, July 5! Please note, especially new families, that this is a new date for the sale which was originally scheduled for July 12.

St. Anthony Backpacks & Duffle Bags

If you would like to order a St. Anthony backpack or duffle bag for you or your child to use next year, please print an order form from Edline and return payment for the quantity ordered by June 29. Because there is a minimum order quantity for these two items, all orders must be received along with payment by June 29. Backpacks and duffle bags will be delivered to each family at Back to School afternoon on August 5. Remember, this is a once-a-year opportunity to purchase these particular items – so don’t miss out!

Lost & Found

Final call for items to be claimed from our lost and found bins! Any item not claimed by the end of the year will be donated to either the P.A. Used Uniform Sale or to a local charity. Also, we have a few unclaimed platters and serving dishes still needing to be reclaimed. Any serving dish remaining at the end of the year will be placed in the P.A. closet. Thank you!

Eagle Spirit!

“Rex” is going around town to see who he catches wearing St. Anthony and Eagle spirit-wear! If “Rex” finds you wearing St. Anthony/Eagle clothing, you could win some “Eagle Bucks” to use for other items sold by the booster club.
