The fourth grade students at St. Anthony recently competed in their annual cooking challenge.  Groups of students, while learning key measurement and cooking skills combined with their knowledge of economic study, held the 4th Grade Bake Sale to determine which team could raise the most money for the charity of their choice.  Team Sugar Rush, who sold sugar cookies, was the declared winner of the challenge, so the total amount raised will be donated to the Salvation Army.  Team Survivors sold chocolate chip cookies and was supporting breast cancer awareness.  Team Perfect Pets sold brownies and was supporting the Madison Ark, which is now the Webster Animal Shelter.  The bake sale raised a total of $348.00.  Because our third and fourth grade classes worked together on their 3rd Grade Economic Fair, the $158.00 raised during that event we be split between the other two team charities chosen that did not win the bake sale.  Congratulations to all of the students that worked hard, learned a great deal, and are now giving back to the community.
