Class Size & Curriculum:  Our Holistic Approach

The small class sizes at St. Anthony Catholic School allow for teachers to know each student as an individual — how they learn best and what interests them. Our core curriculum is infused with the arts and allows creativity while learning in the subject areas of religion, reading, language arts, math, science, social studies, physical education, Spanish, art, music, computer, and Latin..

From the over-achieving scholar to the competitive athlete, our goal is for all students to complete their academic expectations with confidence. Believing that every child is unique, we focus on each child’s individual strengths, needs and gifts. Emphasizing the whole child, our curriculum is taught in the light of Catholic faith, integrating body, mind and spirit; and challenging each child to achieve academic excellence in a safe, nurturing environment.

Excellence in Education:  Testing Philosophy

In order for our students to excel in their future, St. Anthony Catholic School teaches both the state and national curriculum framework for essential skills at each grade level.  Furthermore, each fall the school tests students in Grade 3 through Grade 6 utilizing the Pearson ACT Aspire Assessment.  The ACT Aspire will give instructors important information that will allow them to determine how your child is progressing at their current grade level, as well as along their overall path toward future college and career readiness.  ACT Aspire will tell the teacher which important skills, abilities, and knowledge your student has now, and which ones still need to be learned in order to be successful in school in the future. ACT Aspire will help your child’s teacher understand where your child is succeeding, as well as where extra help or academic focus is needed. ACT Aspire will also provide specific suggestions for improving skills.  Click ACT Aspire for more information.
